Approved Document M requires that switches and socket outlets and other equipment in habitable rooms are provided at appropriate heights between 450mm and 1200mm from finished floor level.
This is similar to the LTH requirement, but the LTH requirement is more extensive, requiring all service and ventilation controls (e.g. radiator temperature control valves) to be within this height band.
